Moving to Thailand
I worked as a marine biologist in northern Scotland, spending most of my days in freezing waters studying fish migration patterns. The work was fascinating, but the climate was relentless, and the isolation began to wear on me. I started looking for a place where I could continue my research while living in a more comfortable environment.
Thailand quickly caught my attention. Its rich marine ecosystems, warm seas, and diverse coastal regions seemed perfect. While browsing housing options, I discovered https://thailand-real.estate/ and found a small house near the coast of Krabi. The location gave me direct access to coral reefs and mangrove forests—ideal for my fieldwork.
Today, I collaborate with local conservation groups, conduct ocean surveys, and still have time to enjoy long evenings by the beach. The combination of meaningful work and a peaceful environment has completely transformed my life.
